Becoming Love: When People Let You Down

Thanks for awesome response to our new series, Becoming Love.

Last week, we looked at relationships myths. If you missed it, listen here.

This week, we are looking at a significant topic: when people let you down.

How do you respond when people let you down?

Depending on the situation, I have:

  • Pretended it didn’t matter,
  • Took myself out of the situation,
  • Tried to address what had happened,

I notice that sometimes we internalize the situation that is, we may wonder if there is something about us that caused the situation to happen. I know I have wrestled with that.

But what if we looked at it differently, maybe not in the moment, but after a time?

What if we opened ourselves up to what God might do in our lives through the disappointment?

I find that life offers opportunities to grow and God often uses disappointment to teach us about others and ourselves. If we listen, God can take a disappointment and turn it into a triumph!

Join this week in exploring this topic. I invite you to bring a friend!

See you at 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM
